Sunday 27th, 2005
10.38 am Just received news that the labor pains have
started, nothing happening as of yet... will keep you all
informed of the days progress.
1.19 pm The contractions are now 8 minutes apart.... mum,
dad and expectant arrival will be leaving for hospital when
they are 5 minutes apart.
3.25 pm Contractions are now 6 minutes
apart, will be leaving for the hospital soon.
Updates will be done as soon as I get back,
hopefully with a loot bag of photo's.
4.00 pm Time for the hospital
6.37 pm Happy Birthday
Deanna was born at 6.37 pm at Nepean Hospital
Penrith. With only a few puffs of gas & a few
contractions Deanna was born. There was no
assistance rendered to
Kim by the doctors or
mid wives. Dad cut bubba free from mum without
falling on the floor, but the after birth was
to much for the weak and weary eyes.
The birth was witnessed by some of
Brendon's Family.. Nana & Pop Deegens
(Margaret & John), Aunts Tanya &
Tracy... and family friend Mark (i.e. uncle smurfy).
Kim was in labor from 7am this morning,
the intensity got worse around 10.30am, the
ending stages of Kim's labor went fairly
quickly, from 5 cm's dilated to baby being
born was less than an hour.
7.45 pm Friends of Kim's & Brendon's
dropped in to see the new arrival. Thanks to
Billy, Steph, Trent & Jar for their well
wishes and support.
8.15 pm Mid Wife came back and weighed and
measured Deanna, gave her a clean bill of
health and her vitamin k injection. Deanna was
more fussed about getting clothes on then she
was about the vitamin k injection. The nappy
and singlet seemed to be the loudest screams.
Aunt Tracy reckons that bubba will have to
learn to yell louder than that if she is to
wake her daddy.
8.15 pm Time for Mum & Bub bonding time
and Deanna's first feed. All said their
well wishes. Mother, Baby & Dad are doing fine
and are now resting up and will hopefully be
venturing home sometime tomorrow.
Note
Deanna is
the youngest child born to Kim & Brendon's
first. Kim has two children to a previous
relationship Jasin 12 & Marissa 8.

yes today.. I guess she has other plans....hopefully sometime
this weekend the birth of bubba will be celebrated...check
back for updates ! !
